If you have to choose only one thing to do this weekend, then you have to come to the Lumina Festival in Cascais.
I’ve been every year since I’ve moved to this area and it’s really amazing. Every corner of Cascais will have different light installations, video-projections, luminous sculptures, interactive displays and not only that, they will also have music and street art performances plus food stalls with Belgium cuisine, this years’ invited country.
If you’re in Lisbon, remember, you’re just a mere 20km away from Cascais and there’s a special promotion with train tickets going for €2 return after 7pm so, no excuses. The festival starts today, 22nd September and ends 24th September. The best of it all is that it’s free! Perfect for a family outing.

Time: Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th – 20:00 to 24:00
